FUN FUN FUN
Hello as I told you you should get your monthly issue so here I am blogging. Pastor Rutherford has great expectations of what he wants to do . He has kept his promise and taken us mountain climbing. To the rest of the mountains it seemed like a hill. But it was about 2,000 feet . It is harder than it looks and sounds because you go to the left and to the right and then you go up a big steep hill for about 100 feet . We went in a large group so it took 2 hours to get 1,000 feet not to mention dad went missing. My family went , the Rutherfords went and a family from the church . We were taking time to look at the scenery dad was not interested. So he started up the shortcut. We were about ten minutes after him and he was determined to get to the top without a group. We were calling him and there was no answer . So we found a shady spot and decided he went back down . A man that weighs about the same said he could not have made it. We sent two people down to check the house that we were staying in. They phoned us to let us know that he was not there. It was quite clear that we were down to FIVE in our family, and the man that went missing was the only one who had a job. I thought we should start collecting his life insurance, but we started up the hill, and everybody yelled, "We found him!!" Dad just stood there with a puzzled expression on his face. We told him what we thought had happened, he said, "No, I almost made it up to the flag!!" So we went on up to the look-out, had some lunch, and went back down and decided to go to the flag another day.
On Sunday night, Mr. Randy asked me if I wanted to go for a ride on his motorcycle. I said, "Sure!!" He told me to go ask my dad, who said it was o.k. When we were about to leave, I asked if life insurance. But they didn't answer me. There some times where I was sure there was certain death! And sometimes, I felt o.k... Until he cranked it up to 120 km going down what I thought was the biggest paved hill in British Columbia. When he brought me back, I again asked if I had life insurance, and my parents told me "NO!"
Well, I should go nag Mom for breakfast, even though she is the one who is typing.

Busy, Busy, Busy
Lots of things have happened in the past couple of weeks. We have been so busy that every time I try to blog, it is bedtime, or we have to get into the van again. So please don't stop checking the blog. You may find a new post about once a month. With internet many times being scarce, it is also hard to blog. Now my mom blogs a lot. Her bedtime is whenever she wants!! Mine is 8 p.m. My birthday was about 10 days ago, and I said, "Can I stay up till 9 now, like Brendin?!" And they said, "He's 13!!" Mom has a good point, though: "When was the last time you went to bed at 8??" Every time we get home from somewhere, it is about 10:00 at night. And when we wake up, it is time to get back into the van.
On June 10, we traveled to Spring City, Pennsylvania, where my parents dropped us off at some friends house, while they traveled on to Jacksonville, Florida, for missionary training school. Somehow, my dad managed to miss my birthday , but not Father's Day. But we did celebrate my birthday before we left. The Shaws had a pool party for their son Caleb, and they included me in on it too, since my birthday was a couple of days before. That was really nice of them!! We went to their church (Valley Forge Baptist Temple) on Sunday, and the jr. church kids sang Happy Birthday to me. And I made a friend, Scott. When my parents got back, they decided to stay for a couple of days and fellowship with the Shaws. For Father's Day at VFBT, they had an old-fashion-car show. So you could look at the cars, and then the owners would give rides to people. It all happened so fast! Soon, it was time to go home to Canada for a few days. Then we will make another trip to Sault St. Marie. From there we will make our way towards the West Coast for a couple of months. That's the behind the scenes for a missionary's busy life. I have to go now. It appears that I NEED a shower. If I do say so myself, I smell pretty good!! Well, goodbye for this month:)
