FUN FUN FUN
Hello as I told you you should get your monthly issue so here I am blogging. Pastor Rutherford has great expectations of what he wants to do . He has kept his promise and taken us mountain climbing. To the rest of the mountains it seemed like a hill. But it was about 2,000 feet . It is harder than it looks and sounds because you go to the left and to the right and then you go up a big steep hill for about 100 feet . We went in a large group so it took 2 hours to get 1,000 feet not to mention dad went missing. My family went , the Rutherfords went and a family from the church . We were taking time to look at the scenery dad was not interested. So he started up the shortcut. We were about ten minutes after him and he was determined to get to the top without a group. We were calling him and there was no answer . So we found a shady spot and decided he went back down . A man that weighs about the same said he could not have made it. We sent two people down to check the house that we were staying in. They phoned us to let us know that he was not there. It was quite clear that we were down to FIVE in our family, and the man that went missing was the only one who had a job. I thought we should start collecting his life insurance, but we started up the hill, and everybody yelled, "We found him!!" Dad just stood there with a puzzled expression on his face. We told him what we thought had happened, he said, "No, I almost made it up to the flag!!" So we went on up to the look-out, had some lunch, and went back down and decided to go to the flag another day.
On Sunday night, Mr. Randy asked me if I wanted to go for a ride on his motorcycle. I said, "Sure!!" He told me to go ask my dad, who said it was o.k. When we were about to leave, I asked if life insurance. But they didn't answer me. There some times where I was sure there was certain death! And sometimes, I felt o.k... Until he cranked it up to 120 km going down what I thought was the biggest paved hill in British Columbia. When he brought me back, I again asked if I had life insurance, and my parents told me "NO!"
Well, I should go nag Mom for breakfast, even though she is the one who is typing.

Busy, Busy, Busy
Lots of things have happened in the past couple of weeks. We have been so busy that every time I try to blog, it is bedtime, or we have to get into the van again. So please don't stop checking the blog. You may find a new post about once a month. With internet many times being scarce, it is also hard to blog. Now my mom blogs a lot. Her bedtime is whenever she wants!! Mine is 8 p.m. My birthday was about 10 days ago, and I said, "Can I stay up till 9 now, like Brendin?!" And they said, "He's 13!!" Mom has a good point, though: "When was the last time you went to bed at 8??" Every time we get home from somewhere, it is about 10:00 at night. And when we wake up, it is time to get back into the van.
On June 10, we traveled to Spring City, Pennsylvania, where my parents dropped us off at some friends house, while they traveled on to Jacksonville, Florida, for missionary training school. Somehow, my dad managed to miss my birthday , but not Father's Day. But we did celebrate my birthday before we left. The Shaws had a pool party for their son Caleb, and they included me in on it too, since my birthday was a couple of days before. That was really nice of them!! We went to their church (Valley Forge Baptist Temple) on Sunday, and the jr. church kids sang Happy Birthday to me. And I made a friend, Scott. When my parents got back, they decided to stay for a couple of days and fellowship with the Shaws. For Father's Day at VFBT, they had an old-fashion-car show. So you could look at the cars, and then the owners would give rides to people. It all happened so fast! Soon, it was time to go home to Canada for a few days. Then we will make another trip to Sault St. Marie. From there we will make our way towards the West Coast for a couple of months. That's the behind the scenes for a missionary's busy life. I have to go now. It appears that I NEED a shower. If I do say so myself, I smell pretty good!! Well, goodbye for this month:)

The Harrises
In the past couple of weeks, I have been at my friends house while my parents were in Africa. I had to attend their school, but using our own curriculum. That was very different. A family in their church wanted to take us out for a hike. So we went. We started out and we were all carrying backpacks, each having several water bottles. We had to drive to the trail and about halfway through the trail, we came to the Niagara River. Me and my friend, A.J., and Victoria started wading and when we slipped on the mossy rocks, we decided, "What have we got to lose!" So we just jumped in. The rapids were about a hundred yards away. So that made it lots of fun. The water was fine, but it WAS freezing. We dried off while hiking the rest of the trail. Pastor Harris took the boys on a bike ride. A couple of weeks felt very short because I had lots of fun. Well, I have to go now.

JUST LETTING YOU KNOW...
Good morning CANADA U.S.A. TAIWAN RUSSIA etc. etc... Hello I just wanted to let you know you would not be reading this if it were not for Mrs. McClain. One day, not too long after our dad told us we were going to Africa, we went to the McClain's house for something. When we were leaving, Mrs. McClain encouraged us to keep something like a journal to show how many blessings God has done for us. So our dad created this blog for us.
This morning we were having our family devotions when my dad's phone rang. It was Pastor Bohman from Bethel Baptist in Simcoe. We were in their missions conference (they are our sending church) back in January. During the conference, he took all the missionary families up in his plane (he is a pilot). We were not able to go at that time, so he promised to take us up at a different time. That was what he called about this morning. I was so excited and so scared, because I wondered what would happen if he let Bethany take the wheel. But we scheduled to go flying with him on Thursday. I can't wait!!
Well, I better go now.

The Harris Family
I know I promised that I would put those pictures on, but I don't know how. And my parents haven't found any time to do it yet. So let's get to the matter at hand. The Harris boys came for a 2-day sleepover. When they first got here, we went scootering for a bit. At about 8 p.m., we started watching movies. We watched movies til midnight. Then, we went to bed. Well, not really. We talked until about 1 a.m. The next day, we went to the park and then we went for a hike around the pier. When we got home, we had a couple of hours left to play. So we played hide and seek all over the church. Then it was time for them to go home. The end.

Family Day
On Monday, we spent the day with our best friends, the Harris family. My best friends are Luke and A.J. (Andrew Jeffrey). As you probably know from Brendin's blog, we went skating. It was pretty embarrassing because I was going the wrong way and I crashed into the worker along with a lady! But we still had fun playing tag. My skates weren't on tight enough, so they started ripping skin off of my legs. When we got back to the church, we feasted on Little Ceasar's. Then we played hide and seek. Just for fun, Luke and I hid outside. We were never found because we climbed up the trees. I had the advantage of going on the roof, but I didn't. We finally went in and A.J. found us. That was when he announced that it was time for them to go home. I felt kind of sad, but I will be staying with them for quite a while when my parents go to Africa. The last time I went, we had SOOO much fun! For dessert, we walked over to McDonald's and had ice cream. So I am looking forward to seeing them again soon.
Have a great day,

A few days ago I went to my friend's house his name is Titus. He is one of my best friends he is originally from Kenya well anyway lets get to the matter at hand .They invited us over for lunch. Caleb had a broken leg so he was not able to play much. The time seemed to fly by so fast because it was only two hours. For lunch we had vegetables and Miss Elizabeth somehow made this flat bread so sweet. I think I am going to like the cooks in Africa. After we ate we played for about a hour then we had to go home.

HOME SWEET HOME
Hello we got back from the States a few minutes ago. We stopped by my friend, Kenny's house to give them something. We have not seen them in a long time. Our trip was very long. I slept most of the way. We stopped at Camerica Park (where the Detroit Lions play). When we got home, there was lots of work to be done. So now I have to go to bed.
See ya later,

Pre-field Ministry
Pre-field Ministry has been going really well so far. God has been giving us many meetings. We are booked until April. We have been seeing lots of old friends, but the best yet, has been Bro. Arnold. I know I haven't been blogging very much, so I am going to try to make it daily. If I don't blog, it means there is no internet (no sign of civilization). Good bye for now!
